Flower Press Workshop
Enjoy a fun hands-on experience where you'll learn the art of flower pressing! You'll be guided step-by-step to create beautiful, lasting flower art. In this workshop, you’ll create and decorate your own flower press book while learning how to properly press and preserve flowers. You’ll take home a unique and personalized flower press and the skills to continue pressing and crafting at home. All materials provided. Just bring your creativity and love of flowers!

Stamped Tote Bags workshop with DaTrice Clark
This Stamped Tote Bag workshop will take place during our Summer Saturdays market! Participants will be making stamped Tote bags using plants and pigments. Faciliated by artist and DIYer, DaTrice Clark particpants will create one of a kind stamps to customize their tote bags. All ages are welcome but minors are required to be accompanied by an adult.

Collaborative Art as a Liberatory Practice: A Workshop
Are you craving community practices that allow us to imagine better worlds? What do we have to gain from creative, collaborative processes?
Join us for a workshop where we will make art and discuss what it means to work together towards a shared goal of collective liberation.
Facilitated by environmental educator, writer, and artist, Emma Belanger, M.Ed., this workshop will provide a space for folks to share their ideas, experiences, and craft with one another. Welcome to ALL skill levels (everyone is an artist!), our goal will be to create something beautiful together while learning from one another about how we build the future we want to live in: where we care for our neighbors, hold one another accountable, and have our material, emotional, social, and spiritual needs met.

Mini Period Confidence Workshop
The Mini Period Confidence Workshop is an interactive, age-appropriate workshop introduces menstrual health, puberty, body literacy, and cycle awareness in a stigma-free, empowering, and developmentally appropriate way.
The session includes:
Guided, youth-friendly menstrual health education for ages 8-13 (puberty, periods, body awareness, and healthy cycles)
Interactive discussion and Q&A in a safe, supportive environment
Education on menstrual care products and comfort-supporting essentials that can be used to create a personalized period prep kit at home

Volunteer Day
Come lend a hand and get your hands in the soil at Griffin Gardens! Our volunteer days are a chance to support a growing neighborhood flower farm and community space in Detroit. Whether we’re planting, weeding, harvesting, spreading mulch, or doing garden clean-up, there’s always meaningful work to be done — and many hands make light work.
No gardening experience is needed — just a willingness to learn and a love for being outdoors. You’ll leave with a deeper connection to the land, a better understanding of how flowers are grown, and the joy of contributing to a space that serves as a pollinator habitat and gathering place for the community.
