Collaborative Art as a Liberatory Practice: A Workshop

  • Griffin Gardens 19400 Bentler Street Detroit, MI, 48219 United States (map)

Are you craving community practices that allow us to imagine better worlds? What do we have to gain from creative, collaborative processes?

Join us for a workshop where we will make art and discuss what it means to work together towards a shared goal of collective liberation.

Facilitated by environmental educator, writer, and artist, Emma Belanger, M.Ed., this workshop will provide a space for folks to share their ideas, experiences, and craft with one another. Welcome to ALL skill levels (everyone is an artist!), our goal will be to create something beautiful together while learning from one another about how we build the future we want to live in: where we care for our neighbors, hold one another accountable, and have our material, emotional, social, and spiritual needs met.

While some art supplies will be provided, feel free to bring your favorite materials and mediums to work with.

Cost: Free (Click the link below to register)
